Terms of Use
Article 1 Purpose

These Terms of Use are designed to define and comply with the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Clinic and users,
as well as other necessary matters in accordance with the Basic Telecommunications Act, Telecommunications Business Act, Personal Information Protection Act and its Enforcement Decree,
in relation to the use of the SNU Plastic Surgery Clinic website (hereinafter referred to as the "Website") service provided by SNU Plastic Surgery Clinic (hereinafter referred to as the "Clinic").



Article 2 Definitions

① "User" refers to members and non-members who access the Website and receive services provided by the Clinic in accordance with these Terms of Use.

② "Service" refers to all website-related services that members can use regardless of the device implemented (including various wired and wireless devices such as PC, TV, mobile devices, etc.).

③ "Member" refers to a person who agrees to the Website terms and provides personal information to register as a member,
enters into a user agreement with the Website, continuously receives information, and can continuously use the services provided by the Website.

④ "Non-member" refers to a person who uses services provided by the Clinic's website without registering as a member.

⑤ "Post" refers to text, photos, videos, and various files and links in the form of images, text, videos, etc. posted on the service by "Members" when using the "Service".



Article 3 Specification and Amendment of Terms

① The "Clinic" posts the contents of these Terms, business name, location, contact information (telephone, fax, email address, etc.) on the initial screen (front page) of the Website so that users can be informed.

② The "Clinic" may amend these Terms to the extent that it does not violate relevant laws and regulations.

③ When the "Clinic" amends the Terms, it will specify the effective date and reasons for amendment and announce them on the initial screen along with the current Terms from 7 days before the effective date until the day before the effective date.

④ When the "Clinic" amends the Terms, the amended Terms will only apply after the effective date, and the pre-amendment Terms provisions will apply to contracts already concluded before that date.
However, if a user who has already concluded a contract wishes to be subject to the amended Terms provisions and sends this intention to the "Clinic" within the announcement period of the amended Terms under Paragraph 3 and receives the "Clinic's" consent,
the amended Terms provisions will apply.

⑤ If a "Member" does not agree to the application of the amended Terms, the "Clinic" cannot apply the contents of the amended Terms, and in this case, the member may terminate the user agreement.
However, if there are special circumstances that make it impossible to apply the existing Terms, the Clinic may terminate the user agreement.

⑥ Matters not specified in these Terms and the interpretation of these Terms shall be governed by relevant laws and regulations or commercial practices.



Article 4 Rules Outside the Terms

Matters or interpretations not specified in these Terms shall be governed by relevant laws and regulations or commercial practices.



Article 5 Conclusion of User Agreement

① The user agreement is concluded when a person who wishes to become a "Member" (hereinafter referred to as "Applicant") agrees to the contents of the Terms, applies for membership,
and the "Clinic" approves such application.

② The "Clinic" shall, in principle, approve the use of the "Service" for the "Applicant's" application.
However, the "Clinic" may not approve or may subsequently terminate the user agreement for applications that fall under any of the following:

1. If the applicant has previously lost membership qualifications under these Terms, except when the "Clinic's" approval for re-registration has been obtained.
2. If the applicant is not using their real name or is using another person's name
3. If false information is provided or the application is submitted with omissions of content presented by the "Clinic"
4. If a child under the age of 14 has not obtained consent from a legal representative (parents, etc.)
5. If approval is impossible due to the user's fault or the application violates other stipulated matters



Article 6 Obligation to Protect Personal Information

The "Clinic" strives to protect the personal information of "Members" in accordance with relevant laws and regulations such as the "Information and Communications Network Act" and "Personal Information Protection Act".
Relevant laws and the "Clinic's" Privacy Policy apply to the protection and use of personal information.
However, the "Clinic's" Privacy Policy does not apply to linked sites other than the "Clinic's" official site.



Article 7 Notice to "Members"

① The "Clinic" may notify members by sending to the email address submitted by the member to the Clinic.

② In implementing Paragraph 1 above, if the email address submitted by the member to the Clinic differs from the actual email address, whether intentionally or by mistake,
all civil and criminal legal liability for any losses incurred shall belong to the member.

③ For notices to an unspecified number of members, the "Clinic" may substitute individual notice by posting on the bulletin board for at least one week.



Article 8 "Member" Obligations

① "Members" shall not engage in the following acts:

1. Registration of false information during application or modification
2. Misappropriation of others' information
3. Alteration of information posted by the "Clinic"
4. Transmission or posting of information other than information specified by the "Clinic" (such as computer programs)
5. Infringement of intellectual property rights such as copyrights of the "Clinic" and other third parties
6. Acts that damage the reputation of the "Clinic" and other third parties or interfere with business
7. Acts of disclosing or posting obscene or violent messages, images, sounds, or other information contrary to public order and morals on the "Service"
8. Acts of using the "Service" for commercial purposes without the consent of the "Clinic"
9. Other illegal or improper acts

② "Members" shall comply with relevant laws, provisions of these Terms, usage guidelines, precautions announced in relation to the "Service", matters notified by the "Clinic", etc.,
and shall not engage in acts that interfere with the "Clinic's" business.



Article 9 "Clinic" Obligations
① The "Clinic" shall not engage in acts prohibited by relevant laws and these Terms or contrary to public order and morals,
and shall make its best efforts to provide "Services" continuously and stably.

② The "Clinic" shall have a security system in place to protect personal information (including credit information) so that "Members" can safely use the "Service"
and shall disclose and comply with its Privacy Policy.

③ The "Clinic" shall handle opinions or complaints raised by "Members" in relation to the use of services if they are deemed legitimate.
For opinions or complaints raised by "Members", the processing process and results shall be communicated to "Members" through email or registered contact information.



Article 10 Service Provision and Changes

① The "Clinic" provides the following services:

1. Appointment services provided through the Website
2. Consultation services provided through the Website
3. Medical information services provided through the Website
4. Other services determined by the "Clinic"

② "Services" shall, in principle, be provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

③ The "Clinic" may temporarily suspend the provision of "Services" in case of maintenance, inspection, replacement, or failure of information and communication facilities such as computers, communication disruption, or considerable operational reasons.
In this case, the "Clinic" shall notify "Members" by the method specified in Article 7 [Notice to "Members"].
However, if there are unavoidable reasons why the "Clinic" cannot notify in advance, it may notify afterward.

④ The "Clinic" may conduct regular inspections if necessary for the provision of services, and the regular inspection time shall be as announced on the service provision screen.

⑤ The "Clinic" may change all or part of the "Services" being provided according to operational and technical needs if there are reasonable reasons.

⑥ The "Clinic" may modify, suspend, or change some or all of the free services according to the "Clinic's" policies and operational needs, and will not provide separate compensation to "Members" unless there are special provisions in relevant laws.



Article 11 Service Usage Fees

① The Service can be used free of charge by all people registered as "Members".

② If the "Clinic" charges a fee for the service, the timing, policy, and cost of the fee must be announced on the service before the implementation of the fee.



Article 12 Appointment Service

① Members may use the appointment service through the Website if they wish.

② All members have a duty of good faith regarding appointments made in advance.

③ The "Clinic" shall not bear civil or criminal legal liability for any losses that may occur during members' appointment services, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence by the "Clinic".



Article 13 Consultation Service

① Online consultation services cannot in any case replace actual medical treatment, diagnosis, surgery, or other actual medical practices.

② The "Clinic" makes every effort to maintain security so that the consultation content of service members is not leaked to third parties other than the consulting physician and service manager.
However, the "Clinic" shall not be responsible for disclosure or loss of consultation content in the following cases:

1. If the password is leaked due to the member's carelessness
2. If the member uses the 'Delete Consultation' function
3. In case of force majeure such as natural disasters

③ The content of consultations conducted on the Website may be used for the following purposes in a form that cannot identify specific individuals:

1. Statistical preparation, academic activities
2. When there are special provisions in the law
3. Utilization as basic data deemed necessary for FAQ utilization and hospital operation

④ The answers to consultations are subjective answers based on the medical knowledge of each specialist and do not represent the opinions of the "Clinic's" service.

⑤ The consultation service may not be provided in whole or in part for the following consultations:

1. If the same member repeatedly applies for consultations with the same content
2. If a consultation is requested using expressions that go against common sense
3. If a consultation requesting a diagnosis is applied for
4. If a consultation is requested regarding treatment costs, examination fees, medication prices, etc.
5. If asking confirmatory questions about treatment received from other medical institutions
6. If defaming or damaging the reputation of medical institutions or specialist physicians without specific reasons



Article 14 Medical Information Service

① The content provided by the service is general and overview information and is provided for information purposes only.
Information or consultations provided by the service can never replace medical diagnosis.
Information or consultations provided by the service are never intended to replace medical diagnosis, treatment, or therapy.
If you have any questions or concerns about your health, you should seek an actual specialist physician for diagnosis.
Under no circumstances should you ignore medical diagnosis or delay seeking diagnosis, treatment, or therapy because of information provided by the service.

② The "Clinic" does not recommend any specific examination, product, or treatment mentioned in the service. All individual opinions expressed in the service are those of the respective authors.

③ Accepting the information of this service, the opinions of specialist physicians participating in the service, or other members or visitors using the service is entirely at the user's discretion.
Therefore, the "Clinic" shall not be responsible for any damage, injury, or other disadvantages arising from the use of any product, information, ideas, or instructions provided to members.



Article 15 Attribution of Copyright

① Copyrights and other intellectual property rights to works created by the "Clinic" belong to the "Clinic".

② "Members" shall not use information obtained by using the Website for commercial purposes or allow third parties to use it by modification, reproduction, transmission, publication, distribution, broadcasting, or other methods
without the prior consent of the "Clinic".



Article 16 "Post" Management

① If a "Member's" "Post" contains content that violates relevant laws such as the "Information and Communications Network Act" and "Copyright Act",
the rights holder may request suspension and deletion of the posting of the "Post" in accordance with procedures prescribed by relevant laws, and the "Clinic" shall take measures in accordance with relevant laws.

② Even if there is no request from the rights holder pursuant to the preceding paragraph, if there are grounds for recognizing infringement of rights or if it violates other "Clinic" policies and relevant laws,
the "Clinic" may take temporary measures on the "Post" in accordance with policies and relevant laws.



Article 17 Termination of Contract

① "Members" may apply for termination of the user agreement at any time through the information management menu on the service's initial screen,
and the "Clinic" shall process it immediately in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

② If a "Member" terminates the contract, all data of the "Member" will be destroyed immediately upon termination, except when the "Clinic" retains member information in accordance with relevant laws and the Privacy Policy.

③ If a "Member" terminates the contract, "Posts" written by the "Member", reposted by others,
or "Posts" registered on public bulletin boards will not be deleted, so please delete them before withdrawing.

④ The "Clinic" may terminate the user agreement without prior notice or suspend service use for a set period if a "Member" engages in any of the following acts:

1. Violation of public order and morals
2. Involvement in criminal acts
3. Planning or executing service use for the purpose of undermining national interests or social public interests
4. Misappropriating another person's ID and password
5. Damaging another person's reputation or causing disadvantage
6. The same user registering with different IDs
7. Harming the service or hindering sound use
8. Violation of other relevant laws or terms of use set by the clinic



Article 18 Limitation of Liability

① The "Clinic" shall be exempt from liability for providing "Services" if it is unable to provide "Services" due to force majeure such as natural disasters or equivalent events.

② The "Clinic" shall not be responsible for obstacles to the use of "Services" due to the fault of "Members".

③ The "Clinic" shall not be responsible for the reliability, accuracy, etc. of information, data, and facts posted by "Members" in relation to the "Service".

④ The "Clinic" shall be exempt from liability if transactions are made between "Members" or between "Members" and third parties through the "Service".

⑤ The "Clinic" shall not be responsible for the use of free services unless there are special provisions in relevant laws.



Article 19 Dispute Resolution

① Disputes regarding all matters related to service use that arise except for those stipulated in these Terms of Use shall be resolved by mutual agreement between both parties to the maximum extent possible.

② If a lawsuit is filed regarding a dispute arising from the use of the service, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the "Clinic" shall be the competent court.



[Supplementary Provisions]

These Terms of Use shall be effective from January 1, 2024, until new terms are issued.
